Notice of Privacy Practices

Safety Policy
If you choose to complete the forms at the clinic, we will ask you to come in 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time, as to not take any time away from your therapist.
What Should I Wear to Physical Therapy?
Your therapy session may involve varied movements and we want you to feel comfortable in performing these movements. We ask that you wear something comfortable enough for you to move around in, this may include, workout or lounge-type wear. It is of utmost importance that your therapist will have easy exposure to the area in which you are experiencing pain.
How Long Will My Appointment Be?
Typically your physical therapy appointments will be between 45 minutes and 1 hour. The initial examination could last slightly longer, depending on the situation.
What Will My Appointments Look like?
During your first appointment, you will meet your Physical Therapist. Your visit will begin with a thorough subjective history, where your Therapist will ask you detailed questions about how the injury occurred and what difficulties you are experiencing in your everyday life because of the injury. This history is essential in helping your Therapist determine how best to set goals for your treatment.
Your therapist will also complete some hands-on testing of the injured area. This type of testing helps to determine baseline strength and range of motion, and is also necessary to set goals for you.
After both of these types of assessments are complete, your Therapist will discuss with you your expected treatment plan and duration. Please note, that our Physical Therapy team consists of Physical Therapy Assistants and Athletic Trainers. If your Physical Therapists sees it fit, they may include one of these team members in your continued care.
Next Steps?
Before leaving the clinic after your initial examination it is very important to set up appointments for the next couple of weeks. Your Physical Therapist will work closely with you and any other members of your care team to make sure you are receiving the best care possible. We look forward to helping you achieve your goals and will be here to cheer you on with each success!
