Born and raised in Marquette, Paul’s interest in physical therapy began with athletics and a fascination with biomechanics. He attended the College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth for his undergraduate education and doctorate in physical therapy. He began pursuing his diploma in Osteopractic through the American Academy of Manipulative therapy in 2016, bringing expertise in dry needling, advanced soft tissue treatments, and spinal manipulation to his practice. In 2022 he undertook orthopedic manual therapy fellowship training to improve outcomes for those he treats. He collected data for a dry needling research paper–helping individuals with knee arthritis–and was humbled to receive a recognition for professionalism during his education. Paul was granted “fellow” status in 2023 by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists and joins the less-than 2% of clinicians who hold this post-graduation sub-specialty in the field of neuro-musculo-skeletal disorders. In addition to fellowship training, he holds certifications in dry needling through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (Cert. DN) and spinal manipulation through the Spinal Manipulation Institute (Cert. SMT). He completed coursework in spinal manipulation, soft tissue mobilization, extremity manipulation, vestibular management, ultrasound-guided dry needling, and differential diagnosis to achieve a Diploma in Osteopractic (Dip. Osteopractic). Outside of work, you can find him running on trails, hiking on small sailboats, skiing at Blueberry, or reading at coffee shops.
